Investigate what samsara is and how we are stuck in it. Find out what nirvana is and how to achieve it. Develop the determination to be free from suffering and gain confidence in applying practical tools to deal with and eliminate disturbing emotions forever.

The Discovering Buddhism modules are a wonderful introduction to FPMT and Tibetan Buddhism. Please note that the modules do NOT need to be taken in order and you are very welcome to join regardless of if you have completed previous modules. This class is an accessible opportunity for anyone interested in creating a solid foundation for their understanding of  Buddhism, and particularly Samsara and Nirvana.

Venerable Sangye Khadro

California-born, Ven. Sangye Khadro ordained as a Buddhist nun at Kopan Monastery  in 1974. Ven. Sangye Khadro took the full (bhikshuni) ordination in 1988.
